Faye Urban (28 October 1945 – 11 November 2020) was a Canadian tennis player, the top-ranked player in Canada from 1967 to 1969. Life and career Raised in Windsor, Ontario, she competed in three of the four Grand Slam tournaments in singles (the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open) and two in doubles (Wimbledon and the US Open), her best results being reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon (1967 in doubles) and the second round of the US Open (1969 in singles). 1968 French Open – Women's Singles
Nancy Richey defeated Ann Jones in the final, 5–7, 6–4, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1968 French Open. It was her first French title and second (and last) major title overall, after the 1967 Australian Championships. Bianca Vanessa Andreescu (; born June 16, 2000) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She has been WTA rankings, ranked world No. 4 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association, WTA. Andreescu has won two singles titles on the WTA Tour, at the 2019 BNP Paribas Open – Women's singles, 2019 Indian Wells Open and the 2019 Rogers Cup – Women's singles, 2019 Canadian Open, and a Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major title at the 2019 US Open – Women's singles, 2019 US Open.
