Fibrin Degradation Product
Fibrin degradation products (FDPs), also known as fibrin split products, are components of the blood produced by clot degeneration. Clotting, also called coagulation, at the wound site produces a mass of fibrin threads called a net that remains in place until the cut is healed. As a cut heals, the clotting slows down. Eventually the clot is broken down and dissolved by plasmin. When the clot and fibrin net dissolve, fragments of protein are released into the body. These fragments are fibrin degradation products or FDPs. If your body is unable to dissolve a clot, you may have abnormal levels of FDPs. The most notable subtype of fibrin degradation products is D-dimer. The levels of these FDPs rise after any thrombotic event. Fibrin and fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) testing is commonly used to diagnose disseminated intravascular coagulation. As tumor marker A tumor marker known as AMDL-ELISA DR-70 (FDP), and now as Onko-Sure, was approved by the US FDA on July 1, 2008 for in v ...

His self-published 2000 book, ''Really Not Interested in the Deaf?'', is a criticism of the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) and the story of his departure from the group. After he left RNID he set up the political pressure group Federation of Deaf People (FDP) in 1997. As the chair, he and the FDP are primarily responsible for pressuring the UK government into officially recognizing British Sign Language. Filho da Puta (14 April 1812 – 25 August 1835) was a Great Britain, British Thoroughbred Horse racing, racehorse. He won nine of his 12 races including the St. Leger Stakes and Doncaster Cup, Doncaster Gold Cup. His name means "son of a bitch" in Portuguese language, Portuguese. The name "Filho da Puta" originated from the irritation of Sir William Barnett, owner of the Stud farm, Haras where the animal was born, who, when the foal was born, had learned that his wife had been disloyal. Sir William, who had lived in Portugal and knew the Portuguese language well, in a fit of anger gave this name to the future champion. Filho da Puta was painted in oil on canvas by a famous English painter named John Frederick Herring in 1815. He is exhibited at the ''Doncaster Museum Service ''(England). T ...

Fiji's Daily Post
The ''Fiji's Daily Post'' (''FDP'') was a newspaper in Fiji that was founded in October 1987 by Wame Waqanisanini, Jr, who owned 50 percent of the shares. Taniela Bolea was the original publisher. The majority shares were later owned by the Fijian government. The newspaper suspended publication and has remain closed since 2010. The ''FDP'' suffered criticism from its commencement in 1989 to its closure in 2010 that it represented an extreme ethnic Fijian/Itaukei viewpoint in Fiji's national discourse. The evidence for this conclusion is inconclusive. No other newspaper in Fiji has attempted to reach as wide a multicultural cross-section of the people as the FDP through the provision of five separate language publications. The staff of the newspaper was always multi-ethnic in complexion, representative of a wide range of religious and political viewpoints, and of both genders. As far as ideological orientation of the editorial staff is concerned, it is fair to suppose that once t ...

Popular Democratic Front (Italy)
The Popular Democratic Front (), shortened name of the Popular Democratic Front for Freedom, Peace, Labour (Italian: ''Fronte Democratico Popolare per la libertà, la pace, il lavoro''), was a left-wing political coalition in Italy. Formed in December 1947 by the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) and the Italian Communist Party (PCI), it contested the 1948 Italian general election. History The coalition was formed for the 1948 general election and consisted of the PSI and PCI. Its symbol was a green star surmounted by an image of Italian unification hero Giuseppe Garibaldi. The Social Christian Party (PCS) and Sardinian Action Party (PSd'Az) were not allied with the coalition and formed their own electoral lists. The right-wing of the PSI opposed the coalition, left the party, and organized a separate list as Socialist Unity; this group later became the Italian Democratic Socialist Party (PSDI). The election of 1948 was perhaps the most important in the history of the Italia ...

Fixed-dose Procedure
The fixed-dose procedure (FDP), proposed in 1992 by the British Toxicology Society, is a method to assess a substance's acute oral toxicity. In comparison to the older test developed in 1927, this procedure produces similar results while using fewer animals and causing less pain and suffering. As a result, in 1992 this test was proposed as an alternative to the LD50 test by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development under OECD Test Guideline 420. However, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has begun to approve non-animal alternatives in response to research cruelty concerns and the lack of validity/sensitivity of animal tests as they relate to humans. See also *Up-and-down procedure Up-and-down procedure (or method) for toxicology tests in medicine is an alternative to the test, in which animals are used for acute toxicity Toxicity is the degree to which a chemical substance or a particular mixture of substances can dam ...
