FC Olt Scornicești
Fotbal Club Olt Scornicești (), commonly known as FC Olt Scornicești, Olt Scornicești or simply as FC Olt, is a Romanian football club based in Scornicești, Olt County, currently playing in Liga IV – Olt County. Founded in 1972 under the name Viitorul Scornicești, the team quickly became one of the best teams from a rural area, achieving successive promotions through all divisions with political support. Their best finish was 4th place in Divizia A during the 1981–82 season. The club represented the home village of former dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu and arguably receiving "extra help" to reach the top division and avoid relegation. After the fall of the communist regime, the club lost its main backing and was excluded from Divizia A by the Romanian Football Federation, alongside Victoria București, and struggled to stay solvent in the following years. Viitorul Stadium (Scornicești)
The Viitorul Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Scornicești, Olt County, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Olt Scornicești. It is the 24th stadium in the country by capacity. The stadium holds 13,500 people, the capacity being restricted from 18,000 due to advanced level of degradation. History The stadium was opened in 1975, with a capacity of 30,000 seats. The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. It was founded in 1936 and was called Divizia C until 2006. Liga II
The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07 football season. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Dumitru Dragomir
Dumitru "Mitică" Dragomir (born 30 May 1946) is a former president of the Romanian Professional Football League from 1996 until 2014. Before that, he served as the president of Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea, Olt Scorniceşti, FCM Braşov, and Victoria București. Stelian Badea (born 29 July 1958), widely known as Stelică Badea, is a retired Romanian football midfielder. Gheorghe Șoarece
Gheorghe Șoarece (5 December 1955 – 5 October 2009) was a Romanian professional footballer who played as a forward for teams such as FC Olt Scornicești, FCM Brașov and Inter Sibiu, among others. Career Born in Osica de Sus, Olt County, Șoarece started his football player career in 1969 at the local team, Oltețul Osica, then being transferred by Constantin Ștefan at IOB Balș, in 1972. From Balș, he moved to Dinamo Slatina, then, in 1975 signed a contract with FC Olt Scornicești, the team based in Nicolae Ceaușescu's hometown and a protégé of the communist regime. At FC Olt, Șoarece reached the peak of his career, being the goalscorer of the club in the second league, then promoting in the Divizia A, where he played in 112 matches and scored 24 goals, also being named as the captain of the squad from Olt County.

Dumitru Macri
Dumitru Macri (28 April 1931 – 20 March 2024) was a Romanian football player and coach. Club career Dumitru Macri was born on 28 April 1931 in Bucharest, Romania and started to play football in 1947 at junior level at Flacăra Roșie București. Afterwards he went to play at senior level at Rapid București, making his Divizia A debut on 19 March 1950 in a 0–0 against Știința Timișoara, ending the season on the second place, losing the title in favor of Flamura Roșie Arad with whom they had the same number of points but inferior goal average.
