Club career Marítimo On 3 July 2017, Everton signed a four-year contract with the Portuguese Primeira Liga club Marítimo. Maceió (), formerly anglicised as Maceio, is the capital and the largest city of the coastal state of Alagoas, Brazil. The name "Maceió" is an Indigenous term for a Spring (hydrology), spring.
