Eventim UK is an events and ticket agent, based in London, England. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Europe's largest ticket retailer, CTS Eventim AG & Co. KGaA. Eventim has been a member of STAR (The Society Of Ticket Agents And Retailers) – the UK self-regulatory body for the entertainment and ticketing industry – since June 2009. Eventim entered the market in 2009 following an agreement between CTS Eventim and Live Nation Entertainment. By the end of 2009 the company was selling tickets for a number of events, including West End shows and The Isle of Wight Festival. Eventim partners with SMG Europe in the UK to provide ticketing solutions for 3 major UK arenas, the partnership started in 2012. In the summer of 2013, Eventim UK announced it was to become the name sponsor of the Hammersmith Apollo in partnership with co-owners AEG Live. CTS Eventim is a German company in the leisure-events market, with ticketing and live entertainment, headquartered in Bremen. It is one of the 50 companies comprising the MDAX index. History CTS Computer Ticket Service GmbH was founded by Munich-based concert promoters Marcel Avram and Matthias Hoffmann on 4 November 1989. It was acquired in 1996 by Klaus-Peter Schulenberg. Schulenberg took the company partially public on 1 February 2000 on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Whitley Bay Playhouse
The Playhouse, Whitley Bay is a state of the art, 630 seater auditorium in the coastal resort of Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. Having undergone a major and completed refurbishment by North Tyneside Council in 2009, the contemporary theatre has a glass foyer, front of house facilities, box office and bar facilities. In addition it also features a redesigned auditorium, new company room and chorus rooms. The transformation of the venue, situated on Marine Avenue, was a key part of North Tyneside Council's £64million regeneration programme for Whitley Bay. The Hammersmith Apollo, currently called the Eventim Apollo for sponsorship reasons, and formerly and still commonly known as the Hammersmith Odeon, is a live entertainment performance venue, originally built as a cinema called the Gaumont Palace. Located in Hammersmith, London, it is an art deco Grade II* listed building. Troxy
Troxy is a Grade II-listed Art Deco music venue on Commercial Road in Stepney, London. Built as a cinema in 1933, it closed in 1960 and became a training school for the London Opera Centre. In the 1980s the building was used as a bingo hall, and the Troxy was converted to a live events space in 2006. The building is considered a vital part of East London's history and was Grade II listed in 1990. It has a capacity of 3,100. The Tyne Theatre and Opera House is a theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
