Eutelsat S.A. is a French satellite operator. Providing coverage over the entire European continent, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas, it has been the world's third-largest satellite operator in terms of revenues. Its subsidiary Eutelsat OneWeb is a competitor to Elon Musk's Starlink. Eutelsat's satellites are used for broadcasting nearly 7,000 television stations, of which 1,400 are in high-definition television, and 1,100 radio stations to over 274 million cable and satellite homes. Ariane 5 is a retired European heavy-lift space launch vehicle operated by Arianespace for the European Space Agency (ESA). It was launched from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) in French Guiana. Eva Berneke (born 22 April 1969) is a Danish engineer and company executive. Since January 2022 she has been the CEO of Eutelsat. Biography Early life and education Berneke graduated from Technical University of Denmark in 1992, where she obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD, obtained in 1995. Career Berneke began her career as a consultant and partner at McKinsey in France.
