Etah () is a city in the western part of Uttar Pradesh, India, and the administrative headquarters of Etah District. The nearest major cities are Aligarh and Agra. Located approximately 45 miles (72 km) northeast of Agra and about 25 miles (40 km) southwest of the Ganges River, it occupies a strategic position in the region. Geography Etah is located at . Patna Bird Sanctuary is a protected area in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district encompassing a lentic lake that is an important wintering ground for migrating birds..
