El Último Concierto
El Último Concierto ( Spanish for ''The Last Concert'') is a live album recorded by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo. The album was released in 1997 (see 1997 in music) as two different albums, El Último Concierto A and El Último Concierto B. The album features live tracks, mostly taken from their concert on 20 September 1997 at the River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires. It was the last concert by the band before their definitive break up. The DVD of the concert was released in 2005. Some of the songs played are missing on both formats ("Sobredosis de TV" and "Juego de seducción"). The DVD is more thorough, featuring the two missing songs from the CDs, but excluding one ("Claroscuro"). Soda Stereo
Soda Stereo was an Argentine rock band formed in Buenos Aires in 1982. The band's membership consisted of singer-guitarist Gustavo Cerati, bassist Zeta Bosio and drummer Charly Alberti. During their career, the band released seven studio albums before disbanding in 1997. Soda Stereo is the best-selling Argentine band of all time, having sold seven million records by 2007. The band's 1984 self-titled debut album featured a new wave and ska influenced sound, which evolved into a post-punk style found on their subsequent albums '' Nada personal'' (1985), '' Signos'' (1986), and '' Doble Vida'' (1988). The band's 1990 album ''Canción Animal'' featured the alternative rock anthem " De Música Ligera", their best-known song in Latin America. Charly Alberti
Charly Alberti (born Carlos Alberto Ficicchia; 27 March 1963) is an Argentine musician. He was the drummer for the rock band Soda Stereo, which was formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1997. Biography Alberti was born on 27 March 1963 in Buenos Aires. He is the son of jazz musician and drummer Tito Alberti. He began studying music at the age of six. Alberti met Gustavo Cerati, the future singer and guitarist of Soda Stereo, through Maria Laura Cerati, Gustavo's sister, who used to go to the River Plate sports club's pool. There Alberti played waterpolo and frequently talked to Maria Laura attempting to impress her. She told him that his brother was also interested in The Police and played the guitar. So he asked her to get in touch with Cerati. In 1982, Alberti co-founded the Argentinian rock band Soda Stereo. "De Música Ligera" (Spanish for ''Of fast music'') is a song by the Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, released as a promotional single for their fifth studio album ''Canción Animal'' (1990). Widely considered to be Soda Stereo's most popular song, it is considered an anthem of rock en español. and one of the most recognized compositions of Argentine rock. ''Nada Personal'' (Spanish for ''Nothing Personal'') is the second album recorded by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, released in 1985. It was recorded at Estudios Moebio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and remastered in 2007 at Sterling Sound Studios in New York. ''Nada Personal'' provided the band with at least three successful singles, which became the breakout songs for the band all over Hispano-America. The album showed Soda Stereo venturing in a new musical direction, focused mainly on the British new wave style. The most successful singles from the album were "Juegos de seducción" (Games of Seduction/Seduction Games), "Nada personal" (Nothing Personal) and "Cuando pase el temblor" (When the Trembling Ends). Those songs enjoyed strong airplay during 1985 and 1986, primarily in Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile. The music video, released in 1989, was a finalist for the International Viewer's Choice in the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards.
