De Música Ligera
"De Música Ligera" (Spanish for ''Of fast music'') is a song by the Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, released as a promotional single for their fifth studio album ''Canción Animal'' (1990). Widely considered to be Soda Stereo's most popular song, it is considered an anthem of rock en español. and one of the most recognized compositions of Argentine rock. The single was the last song performed at their farewell concert "''El Último Concierto''" in 1997. Composition Music The title and spirit of the song was taken from some albums Gustavo Cerati's parents had, which were named "Light Classics of all Times". Gustavo said, "The idea was to create instrumentation like that, very classical, of a band, and at the same time that had a light spirit." Soda Stereo
Soda Stereo was an Argentine rock band formed in Buenos Aires in 1982. The band's membership consisted of singer-guitarist Gustavo Cerati, bassist Zeta Bosio and drummer Charly Alberti. During their career, the band released seven studio albums before disbanding in 1997. Soda Stereo is the best-selling Argentine band of all time, having sold seven million records by 2007. Charly Alberti (born Carlos Alberto Ficicchia; 27 March 1963) is an Argentine musician. He was the drummer for the rock band Soda Stereo, which was formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1997. Biography Alberti was born on 27 March 1963 in Buenos Aires. He is the son of jazz musician and drummer Tito Alberti. He began studying music at the age of six. Alberti met Gustavo Cerati, the future singer and guitarist of Soda Stereo, through Maria Laura Cerati, Gustavo's sister, who used to go to the River Plate sports club's pool. El Último Concierto ( Spanish for ''The Last Concert'') is a live album recorded by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo. The album was released in 1997 (see 1997 in music) as two different albums, El Último Concierto A and El Último Concierto B. The album features live tracks, mostly taken from their concert on 20 September 1997 at the River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires. It was the last concert by the band before their definitive break up. The DVD of the concert was released in 2005. Some of the songs played are missing on both formats ("Sobredosis de TV" and "Juego de seducción").
