Edwin Rodríguez Morales (born August 14, 1960) is a Puerto Rican former professional baseball infielder and manager. He managed the Florida Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2010 to 2011. He also played in the major leagues briefly in the early 1980s for the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres. Playing career Rodríguez was signed as an amateur free agent by the Yankees in . He played his first professional season with their Rookie league Gulf Coast Yankees 1980. He played three seasons for the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres. In 1983 he played his first season at the Triple-A level, with the Columbus Clippers team, an affiliate of the New York Yankees. That same year he was traded to the San Diego Padres, making his National League debut in 1983. With the Padres he played 4 more seasons. Edwin Rodríguez (born May 5, 1985) is a Dominican professional boxer who lives in Worcester, Massachusetts. Early life Rodriguez moved to Worcester at age 13 with dreams of becoming the next great Dominican ballplayer. The season for outdoor baseball is shorter due to New England's temperate climate. Edwin abandoned aspirations for baseball to take up boxing. Amateur career Rodriguez had an 84–9 record and won the USA Boxing Championships 2005 and the National Golden Gloves 2006 as a middleweight (165 pounds). Rodriguez was training for the USA Olympic qualifiers for the 2008 Summer Olympics when his pregnant fiancee delivered twins born 16 weeks premature. Edwin Rodriguez (born February 4, 1973) is known as Ed Bassmaster, an American YouTuber focused on prank comedy and playing many characters. He starred in the CMT reality-TV prank series, ''The Ed Bassmaster Show''. Early life Rodriguez was born in the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He describes his mother as "half Italian, half Russian Jew", and his father is Puerto Rican who left the family when he was a toddler. He left high school in 10th grade.
