East Hertfordshire
East Hertfordshire is one of ten Non-metropolitan district, local government districts in Hertfordshire, England. Its council is based in Hertford, the county town of Hertfordshire. The largest town in the district is Bishop's Stortford, and the other main towns are Ware, Hertfordshire, Ware, Buntingford and Sawbridgeworth. At the 2011 United Kingdom census, 2011 Census, the population of the district was 137,687. By area it is the largest of the ten local government districts in Hertfordshire. The district borders North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, Welwyn Hatfield and Borough of Broxbourne, Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, and Epping Forest District, Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford in Essex. Kevin Bonavia
Kevin Bonavia (born 1977/1978) is a British Labour Party politician serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Stevenage since 2024. Early life Bonavia was born to a Maltese father and a Scottish mother. He spent his early childhood in Rabat, Malta before moving to England at age eight. He attended the private Eltham College on a bursary. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History and completed a postgraduate diploma at the University of Law. Before entering politics, he worked as a litigator and at Steel & Shamash, where he acted for the Labour Party, MPs and councillors on a range of matters, including advising candidates on electoral law issues during the 2005 General Election campaign. Christopher Volante Hinchliff (born December 1993) is a British Labour Party politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Hertfordshire since 2024. He was previously a North Hertfordshire District Councillor for Royston Palace. Early life and education Christopher Volante Hinchliff was born in December 1993. He was educated at The Howard of Effingham School in Surrey and King's College, Cambridge, where he read history and was a member of Cambridge University Labour Club. Joshua Robert Abraham Dean (born 1999 or 2000) is a British Labour Party politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Hertford and Stortford since 2024. Before becoming an MP, he was elected as a Councillor for Hertford Town Council in the 2023 United Kingdom local elections. Early life and education Dean attended Richard Hale School, leaving 'directionless' at 17. He then worked, including at his local Starbucks, for a number of years, and was still living at his mother's home when elected. In 2020, he founded "Stortford Against Rhodes", which was successful in its campaign to rename Rhodes Birthplace Trust, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.
