Dübendorf Railway Station
Dübendorf is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zurich. It is situated in the municipality of Dübendorf on the Wallisellen–Uster–Rapperswil line. It is located close to the Dübendorf Air Base. Service The station is located in the northern part of the town of Dübendorf, and was inaugurated in 1856 with the opening of the Wallisellen - Uster section of the Wallisellen - Rapperswil line. It has two platforms, one lateral and one central, through which pass three tracks, to which must be added another through track, totaling four through tracks in the station. Dübendorf station is served by Zürich S-Bahn lines S9 and S14. During weekends, there is also a nighttime S-Bahn service (SN9) offered by ZVV. The Wallisellen–Uster–Rapperswil railway line is a railway line in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. It is also known as the Glatthalbahn, Glatttalbahn or Glattalbahn (Gl-TB), although the latter name is now more commonly used to refer to the Stadtbahn Glattal, a nearby light rail system. Dübendorf Air Base
Dübendorf Air Base () was a military airfield of the Swiss Air Force northeast of Dübendorf in Switzerland, located east of Zürich. It includes the Flieger-Flab-Museum. History The search for a suitable site for an airfield started in 1909. On 1 August 1910 improvement of the swamp started and on 22 October 1910 the first airshow was held on the Airfield Dübendorf. Since 1914, Dübendorf has been used as an air base by the Swiss Air Force.
