''Des Wahnsinns fette Beute'' ("Madness' juicy prey") is the eleventh studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Oomph!. It was released on 29 May 2012 through American record label Columbia records. It was described by the band as being a big change from their usual gothic and industrial metal type of music. This made the album highly anticipated amongst fans and the German rock music community. One single was released from the album, "Zwei Schritte vor" (Two Steps Forward), on 4 May 2012. Neue Deutsche Härte
(; "New German Hardness", sometimes abbreviated as NDH), also known as dance-metal, is a crossover style drawing from Neue Deutsche Welle, alternative metal, groove metal, electro-industrial and techno. It developed in Germany and Austria during the early-to-mid 1990s and early 2000s. Alluding to the style of Neue Deutsche Welle, the term was coined by the music press after the 1995 release of Rammstein's first studio album '' Herzeleid''. Gothic Rock
Gothic rock (also called goth rock or simply goth) is a style of rock music that emerged from post-punk in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The first post-punk bands which shifted toward dark music with gothic overtones include Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, Bauhaus (band), Bauhaus, and the Cure. The genre itself was defined as a separate movement from post-punk. Dero Goi
Stephan Musiol (born 16 April 1970), known professionally as Dero Goi, is a German musician, best known as the former lead vocalist, drummer and founding member of Neue Deutsche Härte band Oomph! from 1989 to 2021. Early life Dero Goi was born in Wolfsburg on 16 April 1970, where he grew up with his former bandmate Andreas Crap. They lived in the same tenement housing department and both started playing music in grade school. They built "instruments" with Persil packs. Dero was introduced to music through his father, who was a guitarist and singer. Dero was "forced" to sing Elvis Presley songs with his father. Career Oomph! and side projects Dero and Crap met Robert Flux at an indie festival in Wolfsburg in 1989. They found out that they liked the same kind of music and wanted to start a band, which would combine the rock and electro scene; thus, Oomph! was born.
