Dempo Sports Club is an Indian professional football club based in Panaji, Goa. The club currently competes in the I-League, the second tier of the Indian football league system, and the Goa Professional League. Dempo is owned and sponsored by the Dempo Mining Corporation Limited. Known popularly as "The Whites" and "The Golden Eagles", the club has been a constant participant in the National football championships, and gained immense popularity in the first four decades of its existence. Dempo became the first Indian football club to reach the semi-final of the AFC Cup tournament in 2008. The club has won several accolades and honors. Salgaocar Football Club (formerly Salgaocar Sporting Club) is an Indian professional football club based in Vasco, Goa. Being one of the country's most successful clubs, it is currently operating youth teams. Until the disfunction of its senior team in June 2023, Salgaocar competed in the Goa Professional League. The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football. It was founded in 1984 by Alfredo Pöge in Leipzig. The IFFHS was based in Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, relocated to Bonn, Germany, and then in 2014 to Zürich. Goa Police Cup
The Goa Police Cup is an annual football tournament organized by the Sports Cell of Goa Police. The tournament is played between the top teams of Goa Professional League and GFA First Division League, sometimes joined by invitational teams. Goa Police Cup is one of the oldest tournaments in Goa, starting since 1968. The competition is played in a group stage followed by knockout. Vasco won the inaugural edition. The Durand Cup (also called the IndianOil Durand Cup Powered by Coal India Limited for sponsorship reasons) is an annual domestic football competition in India which was first held in 1888 in Annadale, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Indian Federation Cup
The Federation Cup was an annual knockout football competition and the premier cup competition in men's domestic Indian football until 2017. Established in 1977, it was organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The Federation Cup was eventually replaced by the Super Cup from the 2018 season. Bengaluru were the last champions, having defeated Mohun Bagan 2–0 in the 2017 final. The Rovers Cup was an annual football tournament held in India, organized by the Western India Football Association. Incorporated in 1890, it was the third oldest tournament in India after Trades Cup. History Rovers Cup was incorporated by some British football enthusiasts in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, in 1890, as a form of amusement. After the foundation of Bombay Football Association (BFA) in 1902, the tournament became well organized. Patronised by Justice Russell, the tournament was firstly opened to British teams.
