Demi Schuurs
Demi Schuurs (; born 1 August 1993) is a Dutch professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. On 22 October 2018, she peaked at No. 7 in the doubles rankings. In February 2015, she reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 512. She has won twenty doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as one singles title and 20 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. The 2022 French Open was a Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. ITF Women's World Tennis Tour
The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. History It serves as a developmental circuit for the WTA Tour, which is run by the independent Women's Tennis Association (WTA). There are several hundred ITF Women's Circuit tournaments each year, spread across all six inhabited continents, with prize money ranging from US$15,000 to US$100,000. Players who succeed on the ITF Women's Circuit earn sufficient points to be eligible for qualifying draw or main draw entry to WTA tournaments. The WTA Tour (also known as the Hologic WTA Tour for sponsorship reasons) is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women and organized by the Women's Tennis Association. Czechia's Kateřina Siniaková and Tomáš Macháč defeated China's Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen in the final, 6–2, 5–7, 0–8to win the gold medal in mixed doubles tennis at the 2024 Summer Olympics. It was Czechia's first Olympic medal in mixed doubles tennis, and Siniaková's second Olympic gold medal after winning the women's doubles event in 2021. Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. By winning the title, Krawczyk and Salisbury received their third and second major mixed doubles title, respectively. Olivia Gadecki and John Peers defeated Kimberly Birrell and John-Patrick Smith in the final, 3–6, 6–4, 0–6to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2025 Australian Open.
