Dank Of England
Dean West (28 December 1986 – April 2020), better known by his stage name Black the Ripper, was a British rapper, grime emcee, activist, cannabis activist, and entrepreneur from Edmonton, London. He ran his own record label, Dank of England (formerly known as Black Magic Entertainment), which expanded into a clothing line and cannabis accessory company. He was also known for his viral stunts of smoking cannabis in public places, which he hoped would lead to the outcome of legalised cannabis in the United Kingdom. West was one of the earliest artists to adopt the grime genre, where he gained recognition from his mixtapes ''Afro Samurai'' (2006), ''Summer Madness'' (2007), and ''Holla Black'' (2007). Edmonton is a town in north London, England within the London Borough of Enfield, a Districts of England, local government district of Greater London. Mobb Deep was an American Hip-hop, hip hop duo formed in Queens, New York (state), New York in 1990. An all-star team is a group of people all having a high level of performance in their field. Originating in sports, it has since drifted into vernacular and has been borrowed heavily by the entertainment industry. Richard Kylea Cowie Jr. (born 19 January 1979), better known by his stage name Wiley (formerly Wiley Kat), is a British grime MC, songwriter, DJ and record producer from Bow, London. Wiley is often labelled the " Godfather of Grime". In the early 2000s, he independently released a series of highly influential eskibeat instrumentals on white label vinyl, such as the first in the series "Eskimo" and is known as a grime MC both for his solo work and for material released with his crew Roll Deep. James Christian Charters (born 18 January 1988), better known as Ironik (formerly as DJ Ironik), is a British musician, DJ and rapper. Jahmaal Noel Fyffe (born 26 November 1990), better known by his stage name Chip (formerly Chipmunk), is an English rapper from Tottenham, London.
