Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport , formerly Dickinson Municipal Airport, is six miles south of Dickinson, in Stark County, North Dakota. It is owned by the Dickinson Airport Authority. The airport serves western North Dakota, eastern Montana and northwest South Dakota, home to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The airport sees one airline, SkyWest Airlines operating on behalf of United Express, flying an Bombardier CRJ200 to Denver; Delta Connection flew to Minneapolis-St. Paul until November 30, 2015. Dik Wolfson
Dirk Jacob "Dik" Wolfson (22 June 1933 – 16 March 2025) was a Dutch economist, civil servant and politician who worked at the International Monetary Fund and the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Academically, Wolfson also served two stints as professor at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (1975–1986 and 1993–1998) and was rector of the International Institute of Social Studies from 1986 to 1990. Wolfson was an influential member of the Scientific Council for Government Policy and the Social and Economic Council in the 1990s on which he served eight and 14 years respectively. He was a member of the Senate of the Netherlands for the Labour Party between 1999 and 2003. Early life Wolfson was born on 22 June 1933 in Voorburg. His father was a minister. A dik-dik is the name for any of four species of small antelope in the genus ''Madoqua'', which live in the bushlands of eastern and southern Africa. Dik-diks stand about at the shoulder, are long, weigh and can live for up to 10 years. Dik-diks are named for the alarm calls of the females. In addition to the females' alarm call, both the male and female make a shrill, whistling sound. These calls may alert other animals to predators. Dikkie Dik is a Dutch series of children's picture books, starring the eponymous orange tomcat Dikkie Dik. The books are drawn by author Jet Boeke, and feature short, concise texts by Arthur van Norden. The series started in 1978 as part of the Dutch version of the children's TV show Sesame Street, but soon the stories appeared in bookstores. On Sesame Street the stories were read aloud by Piet Hendriks, with recurring characters like Tommie, Pino or Troel listening. In the early 1980s the stories in Sesame Street were told by Rudy Kuhn, with some children as an audience, and in 1985 Frank Groothof took over. Richard G. "Dik" Evans (born 1957) is a British-Irish musician. He is a co-founder and guitarist of the band Virgin Prunes, and a co-founder and early guitarist of the band that later became U2. He is the older brother of U2 guitarist The Edge. Early life Richard G. Evans was born in Barking in 1957, the son of Welsh parents. His younger brother David is a guitarist better known by his stage name The Edge. At a young age, the family moved to Ireland. Evans first began to learn how to play guitar with an acoustic guitar bought by his brother, which the two shared. Natalia Nikolaevna Dik (born July 26, 1961) is a contemporary Russian painter, art teacher, and member of Saint Petersburg Union of Artists. Life and work Natalia Dik was born July 26, 1961, in the town of Chesnokovka (renamed to Novoaltaysk in 1962) in Altai Krai in the USSR. From 1976 to 1980 she studied at the Novoaltaysk College of Art. Afterwards, she taught art at the Children's Art School in the village of Klyuchi in Altai Krai. From 1983 to 1989 she studied at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin, at the painting studio of Boris Ugarov. Rius Theo "Dick" Esser (9 July 1918 – 8 March 1979) was a Dutch field hockey player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He was born in Makassar, Dutch East Indies. In 1948, he was a member of the Dutch field hockey team, which won the bronze medal. He played all seven matches as forward. Dik Davis (also called Dik Davies) (26 January 1955 - 1993) was an English drummer who played with English New wave music, new wave bands like Fashion (band), Fashion, Tin Tin (British band), Tin Tin and, as guest, Earl Grey. Davis formed Fashion in 1978, alongside members Luke Sky on lead vocals and guitar and John Mulligan (musician), Mulligan on bass and keyboards. He and the latter remained in Fashion until 1984, when they split up. In 1983, he played as guest in Earl Grey, post-Fashion Luke Sky band. He died in 1993. According to Luke Sky, he is “still to this day the best drummer I ever played with”.
