Dik Davis
Dik Davis (also called Dik Davies) (26 January 1955 - 1993) was an English drummer who played with English New wave music, new wave bands like Fashion (band), Fashion, Tin Tin (British band), Tin Tin and, as guest, Earl Grey. Davis formed Fashion in 1978, alongside members Luke Sky on lead vocals and guitar and John Mulligan (musician), Mulligan on bass and keyboards. He and the latter remained in Fashion until 1984, when they split up. In 1983, he played as guest in Earl Grey, post-Fashion Luke Sky band. He died in 1993.
According to Luke Sky, he is “still to this day the best drummer I ever played with”.

New Wave Music
New wave is a music genre that encompasses pop music, pop-oriented styles from the 1970s through the 1980s. It is considered a lighter and more melodic "broadening of Punk subculture, punk culture". It was originally used as a catch-all for the various styles of music that emerged after punk rock. Later, critical consensus favored "new wave" as an umbrella term involving many contemporary popular music styles, including synth-pop, alternative dance and post-punk. The main new wave movement coincided with late 1970s punk and continued into the early 1980s.
