DacEasy
DacEasy, Inc., originally Dac Software, Inc., was an American developer and publisher of productivity and accounting software active from 1985 to 2000 and based in Dallas, Texas. They were best known for their namesake DacEasy suite of accounting software for the IBM Personal Computer and IBM PC compatibles. The DacEasy software was launched in April 1985 as the least expensive integrated accounting software package on the market, at under US$50. At the time, all others on the market were at least several hundred US dollars per module. In 1987, the DacEasy company was acquired by Insilco Corporation, a conglomerate based in Connecticut, who kept DacEasy around as an independently run subsidiary. In 1991, Insilco sold DacEasy to Sage Software (later known as the Sage Group) of the United Kingdom. Like Insilco, Sage kept DacEasy around as a subsidiary, until 1999. ''Dota Auto Chess'' is a strategy video game mod for the video game ''Dota 2''. Developed by Drodo Studio and released in January 2019, the game features teams of automated ''Dota 2'' heroes fighting battles on a chessboard. The mod had over eight million players by May 2019 and its popularity led to the rapid creation of the auto battler genre. Rocar DAC
Rocar DAC was a series of buses and trolleybuses produced by the Autobuzul (later Rocar) company of Bucharest, Romania, between 1979 and 2000. They were available in both standard 12-meter models and articulated, 17-meter models. The first examples to enter service were DAC 117UDs that were made towards the end of 1978 and entered service with the ITB in Bucharest in April 1979. For much of the 1980s and early 1990s, these buses and trolleybuses were the backbone of the urban transportation network of Romania since, throughout the 1980s, public transportation companies were not allowed to import any type of vehicle. DAC, is a Romanian commercial vehicle brand produced since 1971 in the Brașov area, at Brasov Truck Factory. The brand origin stands in the initialism for Diesel Auto Camion, but same time DAC brand served as a reminder of the Romania’s history, the historic region of Dacia, once the land of the ancient dacian kingdom. Under DAC brand, the company manufactured a variety of vehicles, including trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, and trolleybuses, along with advanced engines developed in-house. DAC (automobile)
The D.A.C. was an automobile manufactured in Detroit, Michigan by the Detroit Air-Cooled Car Company from 1922 to 1923. The car debuted at the Detroit Automobile Show in early 1922, with the company planning on producing 10,000 cars a year. Production never reached these figures. Approximately 25 cars were built in the Detroit factory on Cass Avenue. A new factory was built in 1923, at Wayne, Michigan, where 100 cars were built before the company failed. Both open and closed models were produced. Prices ranged from $1250 for the tourer, to $1700 for the coupe and $1750 for the sedan. Pneumatic cylinder, also known as air cylinder, is a mechanical device which uses the power of compressed gas to produce a force in a reciprocating linear motion. Like in a hydraulic cylinder, something forces a piston to move in the desired direction. The piston is a disc or cylinder, and the piston rod transfers the force it develops to the object to be moved. Engineers sometimes prefer to use pneumatics because they are quieter, cleaner, and do not require large amounts of space for fluid storage.
