D. Ramirez (born Dean Marriott; 13 August 1970) is an English house producer and DJ. He has used a variety of pseudonyms including The Lisa Marie Experience (with Neil Hynde), Cordial, Finger Fest and Rambo. He has achieved five top 20 hits, and appeared on BBC Television's music programme, ''Top of the Pops''. His highest standing in the mainstream music scene was his remix of Bodyrox's " Yeah Yeah", which earned him an Ivor Novello Award nomination. Musical career Ramirez is most commonly known in the world of dance music as a champion of the upbeat electro house style, but more recent times have shown a move away from electro house in to more underground techno material. He has said "I don't feel comfortable with commerciality... When people start expecting certain things of me I tend to back away". "Yeah Yeah" is a song by British house music duo Bodyrox, written as a collaboration with Jon Pearn, Nick Bridges and Luciana. It was popularised in clubs through a remix by British producer D. Ramirez, which became the backing for the radio edit, featuring Luciana. Robert Owens (musician)
Robert Owens (born August 17, 1961) is an American songwriter, record producer, DJ and singer, best known for his work with the Chicago house group Fingers Inc. in the mid-1980s. As a solo artist, he has placed several songs on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, two of which hit number-one: "I'll Be Your Friend" (1992), and "Mine to Give" (2000, a collaboration with Photek). Biography Though electronica has typically been a producer's medium (and the few vocalists who succeed are usually women), Robert Owens became one of the people associated with the late-1980s golden era of Chicago house. Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempos being in the range from 120 to 150 beats per minute (bpm).
