Cuprum Stilon Gorzów
Cuprum Stilon Gorzów – is a Polish professional men's volleyball club based in Gorzów Wielkopolski, founded in 2001. The club was promoted to the highest level of the Polish Volleyball League – PlusLiga in 2014. Club history Before the start of the 2023/2024 season, the activists of the KS Atak association made an official request to the PZPS to grant the team a place in the second division. On 20 July 2023, the club received a positive response and started in the competition. At the end of the 2023/2024 season, as a result of a merger, the club merged with Cuprum Lubin, a team playing in the PlusLiga, and will play in the top division in Poland in the 2024–25 PlusLiga season. Gorzów Wielkopolski (), often abbreviated to Gorzów Wlkp. or simply Gorzów (formerly ), is a city in Geography of Poland, western Poland, located on the Warta, Warta River. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 14 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship (). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. 2024–25 PlusLiga
The 2024–25 PlusLiga was the 89th season of the PlusLiga, Polish Volleyball Championship, the 72nd season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 25th season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA (). This season was composed of 16 teams. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. The season started on 13 September 2024 and concluded on 10 May 2025. LKPS Lublin, Bogdanka LUK Lublin claimed their maiden Polish Champions title, beating Warta Zawiercie (volleyball), Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in the finals, and therefore becoming only the 5th club in PlusLiga history to have won the league. Patryk Damian Niemiec (born 18 February 1997) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Asseco Resovia. Career National team On 12 April 2015, the Poland national team, including Niemiec, won a title of the U19 European Champions. They beat Italy in the final (3–1). He took part in the 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival, and on 1 August 2015 achieved a gold medal after the final match with Bulgaria (3–0).
