Craig Meschede
Craig Anthony Joseph Meschede (born 21 November 1991) is a South African-born German cricketer. An all-rounder, he bowls right-arm medium-fast, and bats right-handed. He made his debut for Somerset County Cricket Club in the 2011 Caribbean Twenty20, and played regular Twenty20 cricket for the county during the 2011 English domestic season. He also made occasional appearances in both first-class and one-day cricket. He received modest media coverage when he claimed the wicket of Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar as his first in first-class cricket. Although he was born in South Africa, in May 2019, he was selected to represent the Germany national team. Meschede's career was cut short by injury at the age of 28, due to suffering from a neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome. In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with, so the innings ends. Usually, two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Sussex County Cricket Club is the oldest of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Sussex. The 2011 Clydesdale Bank 40 tournament was the second season of the ECB 40 limited overs cricket competition for the English and Welsh first-class counties. In addition to the 18 counties, Scotland and the Netherlands took part, as well as the Unicorns, a team of players who did not have first-class contracts. Run Out
Run out is a method of dismissal in cricket, in which the fielding team put down the wicket of a batter who is outside their ground, usually because they are trying to score a run. Run out is governed by Law 38 of the laws of cricket. If the batter is judged run out, the run does not count and the bowler does not get credit for the wicket. A run out can also be effected when the batters are not attempting a run if one of them leaves the crease when the ball is not dead. Some such dismissals cause controversy because they challenge long-established — but not universal — conventions about the spirit of the game. 2010–11 Caribbean Twenty20
The 2010–11 Caribbean Twenty20 season was the second season of the Caribbean Twenty20, a domestic Twenty20 tournament administrated by the West Indies Cricket Board. The season began on 10 January 2011, six months after the 2010 tournament, and concluded with the final on 23 January. The tournament was moved to be considerably earlier than the Champions League Twenty20, for which the best performing domestic team will qualify. The move also gives preferable weather conditions, as many matches were affected by rain in 2010.
