Vrani () is a commune in Caraș-Severin County, western Romania with a population of 1,007 people as of 2021. It is composed of three villages: Ciortea (''Csorda''), Iertof (''Hévér''), and Vrani. The commune is located in the southwestern part of the county, on the border with Serbia. It lies on the banks of the Caraș River and its left tributary, the Ciclova, at a distance of from the town of Oravița and from the county seat, Reșița. A commune (''comună'' in Romanian language, Romanian) is the lowest level of administrative subdivision in Romania. There are 2,686 communes in Romania. The Karaš (in Serbian, also Cyrillic: Караш) or Caraș (in Romanian) is a long river in the Banat region of Vojvodina, Serbia and Romania and a left tributary of the Danube. Reșița (; ; ; ; ; ; ) is a city in western Romania and the capital of Caraș-Severin County. It is located in the Banat region. The city had a population of 58,393 in 2021.
