Chelles–Gournay Station
Chelles–Gournay () is a railway station in Chelles, Seine-et-Marne, France. The station opened in 1849 and is on the Paris-Est–Strasbourg-Ville railway. The station is served by Transilien line P (East Paris) and RER Line E services operated by the SNCF. It will also see services operated by Grand Paris Express ( Paris Metro Line 16) in the future. History In 1846, the municipality of Chelles it accepted the passage of the line from Paris to Strasbourg on the territory of the commune. However, it specifies that the station must be built to the north of the tracks to be accessible directly from the urbanized area. The commune then had 1,700 inhabitants. Since 14 July 1999, the RER E serves the station. Between 1999 and 2007 the station was rebuilt to make way for the LGV Est, which included the building of new entrances to the station. Chelles () is a Communes of France, commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the Seine-et-Marne Departments of France, department in the Île-de-France Regions of France, region from the Kilometre Zero, center of Paris. LGV Est
The Ligne à Grande Vitesse Est européenne (East European High Speed Line), typically shortened to LGV Est, is a French high-speed rail line that connects Vaires-sur-Marne (near Paris) and Vendenheim (near Strasbourg). The line halved the travel time between Paris and Strasbourg and provides fast services between Paris and the principal cities of Eastern France as well as Luxembourg and Germany. The SNCF Class Z 20500 is a double-deck, dual-voltage electric multiple unit trainset that are operated by SNCF on the Réseau Express Régional (RER), a hybrid suburban commuter and rapid transit system and the Transilien, a suburban commuter rail system, both serving Paris and its Île-de-France suburbs. Grand Paris Express
The Grand Paris Express (; GPE) is a project consisting of new rapid transit lines and the extension of existing lines being built in the Île-de-France region of France. The project comprises four new lines for the Paris Métro, plus extensions of the existing Lines 11 and 14.
