Aarhus United
Aarhus United was a Danish women's handball club based in Aarhus. They played in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier women's handball league. Aarhus United was founded in 2017 and took over SK Aarhus's league license for the 2017-18 season. In June 2024, it was announced that the club and another Aarhus based handball team Aarhus HC had decided to merge under the new club name Aarhus Håndbold. Aarhus United was founded as a reaction to the closing of the former Aarhus club SK Århus closing. The previous club had to close as the head sponsor withdrew, and the economy was not good enough to maintain the club. Randers HK is a women's handball club based in Randers, Denmark. They competes in the Danish 1st Division for the 2024/25 season and plays their home matches in Arena Randers. History Randers HK was founded in 1996 as a collaborative effort between several smaller clubs from the Randers Municipality to create a handball team that could represent the region at the top level. Vejen EH is a former team handball club for women from Vejen, Denmark that played in the Damehåndboldligaen, the top league in Denmark. The club declared bankruptcy on 28 April, 2014. History Vejen EH began as KIF Vejen in 2005, which in KIF Kolding thought that women's team too much stood in the shadow of the successful men's team, which has been one of the most successful teams in Denmark. Ringkøbing Håndbold
Ringkøbing Håndbold (Ringkøbing Handball) is a Danish handball club from Ringkøbing. In the season 2023/24 the club played in the Danish Women's Handball League. When they played in the Danish 1st division, they reached the promotion play-off three times in a row in 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11, but they did not manage to be promoted. In 2013 a week before the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, the top flight club Aalborg DH went bankrupt and was thus administratively relegated. Ringkøbing Håndbold were offered to take their place, which they accepted. Ringkøbing Håndbold played six seasons in the top flight before being relegated in 2018/2019 season. The next season promotion was just missed, when the club came second in the 1st division. EH Aalborg is a handball club from Aalborg and Nørresundby, Denmark. Currently, EH Aalborg competes in the women's Damehåndboldligaen. The home arena of the club is Nørresundby Idrætscenter. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a Handball goalkeeper, goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team.
