Cairo Bus Rapid Transit
The Cairo Bus Rapid Transit (), or Cairo BRT, is a mass transit project implemented in Greater Cairo, Egypt by the Ministry of Transportation (Egypt), Ministry of Transport as a modern alternative to traditional microbus services and will complement the proposed fifth line of the Cairo Metro. The system operates along the Cairo Ring Road and is designed to integrate with other public transportation networks, including metro lines, trains, and superjet buses. The project is structured in three phases and includes 48 stations distributed along the ring road, with an estimated total cost of approximately EGP 9.5 billion. Access to bus stations located above the ring road is facilitated through pedestrian tunnels or escalators. Car parks are provided beneath the stations. Greater Cairo
The Greater Cairo () is a metropolitan area centered around Cairo, Egypt. It comprises the entirety of the Cairo Governorate, the cities of Imbaba and Giza in the Giza Governorate, and the city Shubra El Kheima in Qalyubia Governorate. Cairo Monorail
The Cairo Monorail () is a two-line monorail rapid transit system currently under construction in the Greater Cairo metropolitan area and is projected to become the longest driverless monorail system in the world when completed. The two lines will create the first public transport from the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City to the Cairo metropolitan area when completed. New Administrative Capital (NAC) () is a new urban community east of New Cairo in Cairo Governorate, Egypt and a satellite city of Cairo. Imbaba is a station in the Rod El Farag Corridor branch of Cairo Metro Line 3 that was opened on 1 January 2024 as part of Phase 3B of the line. It is located in the dense neighborhood of Imbaba and serves nearby streets and areas. It is an elevated station that is located right next to railway tracks. Cairo Metro Line 3 is a main east-west line of the Cairo Metro rapid transit system in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It has a length of with 34 stations (21 underground, 2 at grade, 11 elevated), all built and operated in seven phases between 2007 and 2024.
