CR Témouchent
Chabab Riadhi Témouchent (), known as CR Témouchent or simply CRT for short, is an Algerian football club based in Aïn Témouchent. The club was founded in 1961 and its colours are red and white. Their home stadium, Omar Oucief Stadium, has a capacity of 11,500 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue 2. History On May 17, 1961, a group made up of Mohradj Hadj Belghaba, Mohamed Attou, Bénamar Hadj Gourine, Zénagui Hadj Yekhled, Boumediène "Diden" Bouri, Saïd Tagri, Salem Yahiaoui, Ahmed Lalaoui, Ahmed Mahdaoui, Sid Ahmed Abden founded the club in an Aïn Témouchent cafe owned by former boxer and North African champion Ahmed Hadjouti. The first president of Chabab Riadhi Témouchent was Mohamed "Houmani" Hadjeri. After the independence of Algeria, Mankour Hadj Bensahih, known as Petit Mankour, took over as the president of the club. Omar Oucief Stadium (), is a multi-purpose stadium in Aïn Témouchent, Algeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 11,500 people. The Algerian Ligue 2, also called Ligue 2, formerly known as Ligue Professionnelle 2 and Championnat National 2, is the second highest division overall in the Algerian football league system. Administered by the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur, it is contested by 32 clubs, divided into two groups with the two champions of each group promoted to Ligue Professionnelle 1 and the bottom 3 teams of each group relegated to the Inter-Régions Division. 2024–25 Algerian Ligue 2
The 2024–25 Algerian Ligue 2 was the 61st season of the Algerian Ligue 2 since its establishment. The competition was organized by the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur and consisted of two groups of 16. At the end of the last day of Ligue 2, the 3 clubs ranked last in each group are relegated to the Inter Régions. The start of the 2024–25 season of the Ligue 2 was àn Friday, September 20, as announced by Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur in a press release published on the official website. Aïn Témouchent () is a city in north-western Algeria, it is the capital of Aïn Témouchent Province. Aïn Témouchent is located 72 km (or 44.7 miles) south-west of Oran, a city with which it is closely associated, and 63 km (or 39.1 miles) west of Sidi Bel Abbès. Known as "la Florissante", it is set in a narrow, fertile basaltic valley amid vineyards and orchards. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 75,558.
