Bethania Almánzar
Bethania Almánzar Sosa (born February 11, 1987, in Bonao) is a female beach volleyball and volleyball player from the Dominican Republic. She twice won the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit 2007, partnering Margarita Suero. She played the 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships and won the silver medal in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games playing with Julibeth Payano. Career Almánzar played with the club Los Prados from 2004 to 2006, winning the 2005 Dominican Metropolitan League with this club. She trained in 2005 with the senior national indoor team in 2005, since the team split under the guidance of the Cuban trainer Ismael Ortega just before the 2006 FIVB World Championship qualification. Almánzar won the silver medal during the 2006 National Games, playing with the North Region. Bonao
Bonao is a city in the Cibao region of Dominican Republic. It is the capital of the Monseñor Nouel province. The city is located in the center of the country, to the northwest of the national capital Santo Domingo. The city is known as "Villa de las Hortensias" - the town of hydrangeas. The Hortensia is the local flower of Bonao. History Upon the arrival of the Spaniards, the territory belonged to the Taino chiefdom of Maguá. Riverbank State Park
Riverbank State Park is a state park built on top of a sewage treatment facility on the Hudson River, in the New York City borough of Manhattan. It was opened in 1993. On September 5, 2017, it was renamed Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, after a longtime New York State Assembly member who represented the surrounding area. Juana Miguelina González Sánchez (born January 3, 1979, in Laguna Salada, Valverde) is a volleyball and basketball player from the Dominican Republic. She competed for her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, wearing the number #11 jersey. Ana Esther Lara (born ) is a retired Dominican Republic female volleyball player. She was part of the Dominican Republic women's national volleyball team. She participated in the 2006 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. On club level she played for Modeca in 2006. Career Lara was awarded Best Receiver in the 2004 National District Superior Tournament that she played with the club Bameso. In the 2004 Junior NORCECA Championship held in Winnipeg Canada, she won the silver medal and the Best Libero award. Karla Echenique
Karla Miguelina Echenique (born May 16, 1986 in Santo Domingo) is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who played as a setter for the Women's National Team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, but did not qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics. She, and the Dominican Republic team did, however, qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where they finished 5th. Personal Life: Karla has a brother and more than one sister. Rossy Dahiana Burgos Herrera (born April 7, 1985 in Santo Domingo) is a volleyball and beach volleyball player from the Dominican Republic. She won the bronze medal with the women's national team at the 2005 Pan American Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She plays as a wing-spiker.
