Brynjólfur Andersen Willumsson (born Brynjólfur Darri Willumsson; 12 August 2000) is an Icelandic professional association football, footballer who plays as a forward (association football), forward for club FC Groningen, Groningen and the Iceland national football team, Iceland national team. Club career Coming through the youth ranks of Breiðablik men's football, Breiðablik, he played three seasons for the senior team and was a prolific Icelandic youth international. Internationally, he was a squad member for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. After being scouted by Kenneth Leren, he was signed by Norwegian side Kristiansund BK in March 2021. He made his Eliteserien debut in May 2021 against Molde. On 27 June 2024, Brynjólfur signed with FC Groningen, Groningen in the Netherlands for three seasons, with an option for fourth. 2022 Kristiansund BK Season
The 2022 season was Kristiansund BK's 19th season in existence and the club's sixth consecutive season in the top flight of Norwegian football. In addition to the domestic league, Kristiansund BK participated in this season's edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The season was unique in that Kristiansund BK was relegated for the first time in the history of the club. The Besta deild karla () is a professional association football league in Iceland and the highest level of the Icelandic football league system. The competition was founded in 1912 as the Icelandic Championship. Because of the harsh winters in Iceland, it is generally played in the spring and summer (April to September). It is governed by the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) and has 12 teams. By the end of the 2022–23 season, UEFA ranked the league No. 48 in Europe.
