Bojan Pečar
Bojan Pečar (Serbian Cyrillic: Бојан Печар) (22 March 1960 – 13 October 1998) was a Yugoslav and Serbian musician, best known as bass player of the cult Yugoslav rock band Ekatarina Velika. Previously he was a member of the new wave group VIA Talas, who were featured on the Yugoslav new wave compilation album '' Artistička radna akcija''. He died on 13 October 1998 in London, England, officially of a heart attack, and was buried in Progar, outside Belgrade, Serbia. Serbian rock is the rock music scene of Serbia. During the 1960s, 1970s and the 1980s, while Serbia was a constituent republic of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Serbian rock scene was a part of the SFR Yugoslav rock scene. ''Samo par godina za nas'' () is the fifth studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1989. It is the last one recorded with Bojan Pečar as a bassist. The album was produced by Mitar "Suba" Subotić, Theodore Yanni and Ekatarina Velika, with Suba and Yanni also included as guest stars. ''Ljubav'' () is the fourth studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1987. The new band member, replacing Ivan "Raka" Ranković on drums, was Srđan "Žika" Todorović (ex Radnička kontrola, Bezobrazno zeleno, Disciplina kičme). It was their first album released for the Serbian label PGP RTB, and also the first EKV album produced by the Australian musician Theodore Yanni. ''Perfektan dan za banana ribe'' () is the first and the only album by the Serbian rock band Talas. The album was printed in 3000 copies, and is available on LP only, since the album has not been reissued on CD. Background Having released their two songs on the ''Artistička radna akcija'' compilation, the band started preparing their debut release. The album was recorded in the MS Studio in Belgrade and was produced by Bojan Pečar and Boban Petrović. ''Perfektan dan za banana ribe'' (which got the name from J. D. Salinger's short-story ''A Perfect Day for Bananafish'') was released in 1983 by Sarajevo Disk. The album featured eight songs with the opening track, "Sama" ("Alone") becoming a nationwide hit and appearing on the Svetislav Prelić's ''Šećerna vodica'' movie soundtrack.
