Beth Allen (golfer)
Beth Allen (born December 6, 1981) is an American professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won three times on the LET and became the first American to win the LET Order of Merit. Early life Allen grew up in San Diego, California and started to play golf at age 16. She credits her father, PGA Professional Jim Allen, as the most influential individual in her career. Allen attended California State University at Northridge and became the first from her school to qualify for the LPGA Tour. Career Allen turned professional after finishing tied for 25th at the 2004 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. She played on the LPGA Tour from 2005 to 2008 with a best finish of T23 at the 2006 Wendy's Championship for Children. She played in the 2006 US Women's Open but did not make the cut. The 2016 Ricoh Women's British Open was played 28–31 July in England at the Woburn Golf and Country Club near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, northwest of London. It was the 40th Women's British Open, and the 16th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. It was the tenth Women's British Open at Woburn; the most recent was in 1999, prior to it becoming a major on the LPGA Tour. Lacoste Ladies Open De France
The Open de France Dames is a women's professional golf tournament in France on the Ladies European Tour. It has been played annually since 1987, with four exceptions: 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1998. Since the 2011 edition, Lacoste has been the title sponsor of the event. Between 2012 and 2017 the tournament was held at Golf de Chantaco, near Saint-Jean-de-Luz in the Basque Country, which belongs to the Lacoste family. Solheim Cup
The Solheim Cup is a biennial golf tournament for professional women golfers contested by teams representing Europe and the United States. It is named after the Norwegian- American golf club manufacturer Karsten Solheim, who was a driving force behind its creation. The inaugural Cup was held in 1990, and the event was first staged in even numbered years until 2002, alternating years with the Ryder Cup (the equivalent men's event). As part of the general reshuffling of team golf events after the one-year postponement of the 2001 Ryder Cup following the September 11 attacks, the Solheim Cup switched to odd numbered years beginning in 2003. The Belgian Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour held in Belgium. History The tournament was played annually 1985–1995.
