Benu Dasgupta
Ashok Kumar (Benu) Dasgupta (born Kolkata, India, 7 March 1928; died 21 April 2010) was an Indian cricketer. He was active during the 1950s and played for the Bengal and Bihar cricket teams. Dasgupta was one of the main pillars of Bengal's batting in 1950s and recipient of Kartick Bose Lifetime Achievement Award from The Cricket Association Of Bengal in July 2008. Career Dasgupta was right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He appeared with the Bengal cricket team from the 1952/53 season through the 1955/56 season, and played one final season (1956/56) with the Bihar cricket team. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). The Bengal cricket team represents the Indian state of West Bengal in domestic first-class cricket. It is considered Eastern India's strongest cricket team. The team plays its home matches at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Bengal has won two Ranji Trophy victories and has been runner-up a total of 12 times. Jharkhand Cricket Team
The Jharkhand Cricket Team is a first-class cricket team based in the Indian state of Jharkhand. When the old state of Bihar was split into Jharkhand state and Bihar state, the Jharkhand team took the place of the Bihar cricket team, as much of the former's state's cricketing infrastructure was in Jharkhand. Ashutosh College
Asutosh College (Bengali: আশুতোষ কলেজ) is a college affiliated to the University of Calcutta, situated in Southern Kolkata, close to the Jatin Das Park Metro Station, gate No. 2. Jadavpur University is a public state university located in Jadavpur, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
