Benito Juárez is a municipality in the Mexican state of Guerrero. The municipal seat lies at San Jerónimo de Juárez. The municipality covers an area of 284.9 km2. The municipality is located at , on the Pacific coast between Acapulco and Zihuatanejo. It is drained by the Río Atoyac. As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 14,444. Guerrero, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Guerrero, is one of the 32 states that compose the administrative divisions of Mexico, 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. Zihuatanejo (), and/or Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, is the fourth largest city in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It was known by 18th-century English mariners as Chequetan and/or Seguataneo.
