Basketball At The 2013 Southeast Asian Games
Basketball contests at the 2013 SEA Games were held from 8 December to 16 December 2013. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournaments. All matches took place at Zayyar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Naypyidaw. Both men's and women's tournaments were in a Round-robin tournament, round robin format; the team with the best record wins the gold medal. With a game to spare, the Philippines men's national basketball team, Philippines successfully defended the title for the men's competition. Thailand women's national basketball team, Thailand also defended their title as they win the women's division. 2013 SEA Games
The 2013 Southeast Asian Games (, ), officially known as the 27th Southeast Asian Games, or the 27th SEA Games, and commonly known as Naypyitaw 2013, were a Southeast Asian multi-sport event took place in Naypyidaw, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar from 11 to 22 December 2013, Around 4730 athletes from 11 participating nations competed at the games, which featured 460 events in 34 sports. The games were held from 11 to 22 December 2013. It was the third time for Myanmar in hosting the Southeast Asian Games. The country hosted the Games in 1961 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, 1961 and 1969 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, 1969 respectively in Yangon, then capital of the country. Watthana or Vadhana (, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. Neighbouring districts are (from the north clockwise): Ratchathewi, Huai Khwang, Suan Luang, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, and Pathum Wan. Kevin Manuel Ferrer (born March 26, 1993) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Terrafirma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Garvo A. Lanete (born February 13, 1989) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He previously played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for three teams. He also won four championships in the NCAA, multiple PBA D-League titles, and played for the Philippines' men's national basketball team. Marcus Eugene Douthit (born April 15, 1980) is a Filipino-American former basketball player. He graduated from Providence College.
