Ašarėna
The Ašarėna is a river in Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. It flows for 6.4 kilometres and has a basin area of 8.8 km2. A left-bank tributary of the Nevėžis, the Ašarėna starts in the Pašiliai Forest, from Medekšiai. It meets the Nevėžis next to Pelėdnagiai. There are two ponds on the Ašarėna in Pelėdnagiai. The hydronym possibly derives from Lithuanian word ''ešerys'' (or ''ašarys'' in local dialect, 'perch Perch is a common name for freshwater fish from the genus ''Perca'', which belongs to the family Percidae of the large order Perciformes. Pelėdnagiai (formerly , ) is a small town in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the town had a population of 1016 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, on the left bank of the Nevėžis river, by its tributary the Ašarėna. Roads to Kėdainiai, Babtai, Jonava, Šeduva go next to Pelėdnagiai. There are kindergarten, library, culture house, cemetery. The Pelėdnagiai Botanical Sanctuary is located nearby. Nevėžis
The Nevėžis (; ) is the List of rivers of Lithuania, sixth longest river in Lithuania and one of the main tributaries of the Neman (river), Nemunas. Kėdainiai District Municipality
Kėdainiai () is one of the oldest List of cities in Lithuania, cities in Lithuania. It is located north of Lithuania's second largest city Kaunas on the banks of the Nevėžis River. Kėdainiai were first mentioned in the 1372 Livonian Chronicle of Hermann de Wartberge, its population was 23,051. The Kėdainiai Old Town dates to the 17th century and many of its historical buildings were preserved. The town is the administrative centre of the Kėdainiai District Municipality. Medekšiai
Medekšiai (formerly , ) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 184 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, by the Šerkšnys river, alongside the Jonava-Šeduva (KK144) road. A phosphogypsum waste dump of "Lifosa" fertilizer factory is located next to Medekšiai. History Medekšiai has been known since the 15th century. King Jogaila presented the village to a certain ''Proszczy'' whose nickname was ''Medekša''. Pranciškus Medekša, a judge of Kovensky Uyezd, had been native of this family. In the end of the 19th century Medekšiai was a property of the Geištarai. Perch
Perch is a common name for freshwater fish from the genus ''Perca'', which belongs to the family Percidae of the large order Perciformes. The name comes from , meaning the type species of this genus, the European perch (''P. fluviatilis''). Many species of freshwater game fish more or less resemble perch, but belong to different genera.
