Azúcar (Los Van Van Album)
''Azúcar'' is an album by the Cuban band Los Van Van. It was released in the United States in 1994, the band's first album in eight years to be widely distributed. Due to the U.S. embargo, the band did not tour behind the album until 1996. Production The album was recorded in 1992. Los Van Van constituted 15 members, including three trombonists and three violinists. Piano player César Pedroso contributed to the songwriting. Critical reception '' The Gazette'' called the album "vibrant dance music, a furious stew of trombones and violins, timbales, congas, keyboards and rousing vocals." "Azúcar amargo" is a song recorded by Mexican singer Fey from her second album ''Tierna la Noche''. The song was written by Mario Ablanedo with his production alongside David Boradoni, and it was released as the album's lead single on 16 October 1996 through Sony Music Entertainment Mexico. A dance pop song about a relationship which brings her both joy and pain; the song's title literally means 'bitter sugar', and is used in the context of the term ' bittersweet'. It quickly became a hit song, reaching the number-one in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings and the debut studio album by Mexican-American musician A.B. Quintanilla. It was released on March 23, 1999, by EMI Latin. It was released on November 9, 2018, through Ultra Records and Dim Mak Records, serving as the third chapter of Aoki's '' Neon Future'' concept albums. ''Azúcar Amarga'' (''Bitter Sugar'') is a 1996 American-Dominican co-production directed by Cuban filmmaker Leon Ichaso. The film was shot in black-and-white. Filmed in Santo Domingo, and starring a cast of Cuban-American émigrés, it also uses archival footage from Cuba. Azúcar Moreno (; Spanish for "brown sugar") is a Spanish music duo composed of sisters Antonia "Toñi" and Encarnación "Encarna" Salazar. The duo has sold more than three million albums and singles since 1984 domestically, and became famous in Europe, the United States and Latin America in the 1990s, with approximately twelve million albums sold worldwide. Luis Camilo Argúmedez Berguido, known by his stage name Camilo Azuquita, (18 February 1946 – 25 December 2022) was a Panamanian singer and composer. He was one of the key promoters of salsa music in Panama. Biography Luis Camilo Argumédez Berguido was born in Colón on 18 February 1946. In the early 1960s, he began singing in the bolero and guaguancó genres. His delicate voice gave rise to his stage name, Azuquita.
