Autopista Del Mediodía
The Autopista del Mediodía is a Cuban motorway linking Havana to San Antonio de los Baños.Source: ''Mapa de Carreteras de Cuba'' (Road map of Cuba). Ediciones GEO, Havana 2011 - It is a Toll road, toll-free road and has a length of . The motorway joins the routes of 2–200 coming from the south and 2–101 from the north. Route The motorway is a dual carriageway with 4 lanes and has some at-grade Intersection (road), intersections with rural roads. It starts in Havana, next to an Interchange (road), interchange of the Autopista A4 (Cuba), A4 motorway, and continues through Artemisa Province; crossing the eastern side of Bauta, Cuba, Bauta municipality, and ending in a fork, east of San Antonio de los Baños. After the fork, the provincial road towards south reaches the nearby San Antonio de los Baños Airfield and the town of Güira de Melena (10 km far). In 2012 the plan of a creation of a more direct route from the A4 motorway to the city of Artemisa was made. Caimito, Cuba
Caimito is a municipality and town in Artemisa Province of Cuba. The town was founded in 1820. The municipality of ''Caimito del Guayabal'' was created in 1910, based on the previously existing (1879–1902) municipality of Guayabal in the Pinar del Río Province. Since 1976, the official name is Caimito. Geography The municipality is divided into the villages of Caimito, Guayabal, Ceiba del Agua, Pueblo Nuevo, Rancho Grande, Capellanías, Vereda Nueva, Los Naranjos, Aguacate, Banes, Habana Libre and Menelao Mora. Wajay
Wajay is a ward (''consejo popular'', "people's council") of the city of Havana, the capital of Cuba, belonging to the Municipalities of Havana, municipal borough of Boyeros. In 2011, it had a population of 47,954. History Its origins go back to the period bequeathed by the aborigines of the Cacique Habaguanex region, when the Indians who populated the island nicknamed the humid lands full of large trees, streams and gaps with the expressions: Guajay> Yubajay> Jubajay, territories that will form part after Havana. The University of Informatic Sciences (; UCI, also known as the University of Information Sciences and University of Informatics Sciences) is a Cuban university research center based in the ward of Wajay, Boyeros municipal borough, Havana. Punta Brava
Punta Brava is a small suburb located just to the southwest of Havana, Cuba, with a population of roughly 1500 inhabitants. It is one of the wards ( consejos populares) of the La Lisa municipality. Cuban War of Independence Punta Brava and the nearby town of Guatao were the scene of massacres during the Cuban War of Independence; Cuban General General Maceo died there in battle on December 7, 1896. Fidel Castro referred to Maceo's death in Punta Brava in 1992 ("Maceo, you were not defeated the day you fell in Punta Brava); on the other hand, for Castro's father, Ángel Castro y Argiz, the day Maceo died had been "one of the best and proudest days of that war," since it was his company that killed the general. Motorways Overview Cuba has eight toll-free expressways named ''Autopistas'', seven of them centralized in the city of Havana and connected to each other by the Havana Ring Road, with the exception of the motorway to Mariel.
