Ana Veydó
Anaveydober Ordóñez Triana (Otanche, Boyacá), better known as Ana Veydó, is a Colombian joropo singer. She is the lead singer of Cimarron. Solo career Ana Veydó began her solo career in joropo music festivals in Colombia. She was a pioneer in recio singing, a vocal style traditionally associated with Colombian and Venezuelan plainsmen. Her first record production was ''Recio'', a musical production with folklore classics such as ''María Laya'', ''La guayaba'', ''Las ramas del guayabo'', ''El Cimarrón'', songs by artists such as Ángel Custodio Loyola and El Carrao de Palmarito. Other songs by Ana Veydó were ''El Pajarillo'', ''Seis por derecho'', ''Zumbaquezumba'' and ''Corrío''. Catrin Ana Finch is a Welsh people, Welsh harpist, arranger and composer. She was the Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales from 2000 to 2004 and is visiting professor at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Finch has given recitals at venues throughout the world. Early life Catrin Finch was born in Llanon, Ceredigion, and began learning the harp at the age of six. ¡Globalquerque! is an annual music festival held each September at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The National Cowboy Poetry Gathering (formerly: Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering), is an annual gathering celebrating cowboy poetry produced by the Western Folklife Center, that takes place in Elko, Nevada, United States. History William Wilson secured funding for the event from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1985. Organized by a team of folklorists and local cowboy poets including Hal Cannon and Waddie Mitchell, the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering started in 1985 as a place where Western ranchers and cowboys could gather to share poems about their lives working cattle. The Førde International Folk Music Festival is an annual event held in Sunnfjord Municipality in the Norwegian county of Vestland. Festival Músicas do Mundo (FMM, ), also known as FMM Sines, was founded in 1999 and is a yearly music festival in Portugal that takes place every July in Sines, a municipality in the Alentejo region of Portugal. The Paléo Festival de Nyon, usually just called Paléo, is an annual open-air festival held in Nyon, Switzerland. It is one of the major open-air music festivals in mainland Europe and the biggest in Switzerland. Both a springboard for young talent and a showcase for established artists, Paléo has gradually opened up to all musical styles, as well as to the circus and street arts.
