¡Globalquerque!
¡Globalquerque! is an annual music festival held each September at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Along with evening concerts, the festival also features a free Global Fiesta community day on with workshops, films, presentations, inter-activities and performances, as well as the Global Village of Craft, Culture & Cuisine, open throughout all parts of the festival, and featuring international food, art and artisan crafts available for sale. The performances also reach tens of thousands of listeners in the U.S. and Canada through live broadcasts on Native Voice 1 and Southwest Stages. History The festival, first presented in 2005, has featured musicians from six continents. After an initial one-night event, ¡Globalquerque! expanded into a two-day festival with an attendance of over 4,000. Black Eagle
The black eagle (''Ictinaetus malaiensis'') is a bird of prey. Like all eagles, it is in the family Accipitridae, and is the only member of the genus ''Ictinaetus''. They soar over forests in the hilly regions of tropical and subtropical South and Southeast Asia, as well as southeastern China. They hunt mammals and birds, particularly at their nests. They are easily identified by their widely splayed and long primary "fingers", the characteristic silhouette, slow flight and yellow ceres and legs that contrast with their dark feathers. The Bills
The Bills are a high-impact, acoustic folk music quintet from the West Coast of Canada. Formed in 1996 (as The Bill Hilly Band), they have performed extensively throughout North America and Europe, with their strongest followings in Western Canada, the Western US, Ontario and the UK. Debashish Bhattacharya (, , Devāśiṣ Bhaṭṭācārya, born 12 January 1963) is an Indian classical musician, singer, composer and educator. He is said to have introduced the first Slide Guitar Syllabus in the world. Bhattacharya redefined Indian classical music on slide guitar through the introduction of a new playing technique and sound, as well as a blending of traditional and uniquely contemporary approaches in designing his music. Jays are a paraphyletic grouping of passerine birds within the family Corvidae. Although the term "jay" carries no taxonomic weight, most or all of the birds referred to as jays share a few similarities: they are small to medium-sized, usually have colorful feathers and are quite noisy. Baka Beyond is a world music group formed in 1992 with members from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, fusing celtic music, Celtic and other western music styles with traditional Baka (Cameroon and Gabon), Baka music from Cameroon. Susana Baca
Susana Esther Baca de la Colina (; born 24 May 1944) is a prominent Peruvian singer-songwriter, school teacher, folklorist, ethnomusicologist and three-time Latin Grammy Award winner.
