Amanda Lamb
Amanda Lamb (born 19 July 1972) is an English television presenter, property expert and former model who is notable for presenting '' A Place in the Sun'' (from 2001 until 2009) and ''You Deserve This House''. She has also had notable appearances on various television programmes as a panellist or as a guest on shows such as '' The Games'', '' Harry Hill's TV Burp'' and '' Pointless Celebrities''. Biography Amanda Lamb was born in Portsmouth and was brought up in Havant, Hampshire. She worked as an estate agent in Havant and part-time as a barmaid for five years before becoming a model. She lives in London. Modelling In 1994, she took over the role of the "Scottish Widow" from Deborah Moore in a long-running series of advertisements for the investment company, Scottish Widows Fund and Life Assurance Society. Babington House
Babington House is a Grade II* listed manor house, located in the village of Babington, between Radstock and Frome, in the county of Somerset, England. Converted to a private members club and hotel by Nick Jones, it is currently owned by Soho House Ltd. Since 1999 it has hosted many celebrity weddings. More4 is a British free-to-air television channel, owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The channel launched on 10 October 2005. Its programming mainly focuses on lifestyle and documentaries, as well as foreign dramas. ''Market Kitchen'' is a British cookery television programme, made by Optomen, that premiered on the Good Food channel in 2007. Presented by Rachel Allen, Amanda Lamb, Matt Tebbutt, Tom Parker Bowles and Matthew Fort, the programme concentrates on seasonal cooking and features visits to a local market to obtain seasonal produce. The first series was presented from a customised kitchen in Borough Market and featured Tana Ramsay as one of its presenters. In 2009, the programme incorporated the Local Food Hero competition, which had previously had its own series on UKTV Food. ''The Games'' is a British reality sports game show that ran on Channel 4 for four series, in which 10 celebrities competed against each other, by doing Olympic-style events, such as weight lifting, gymnastics and diving.
