Akash Deep
Akash Deep (born 15 December 1996) is an Indian international cricketer. He plays as a right arm fast bowler and right handed lower order batter for the India national cricket team in International cricket, for the Bengal cricket team in domestic cricket, for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League and for the Servotech Siliguri Strikers in Bengal Pro T20 League. He was born in Dehri, Bihar and grew up in Kolkata, West Bengal. He made his international debut against England in the fourth Test of the 2024 series. Personal life His father Ramji Singh served as a government school teacher in Bihar's Sasaram. He faced opposition from his parents and neighbors in Bihar for his passion for playing cricket over academics. Cricket At The 2022 Asian Games
Cricket was one of the 37 sports that was played at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Both men's and women's Twenty20 International tournaments were played from 19 September to 7 October 2023. Prior to this edition, cricket was last played at the Asian Games in 2014. The Asian Games were originally planned to take place in September 2022, but were later postponed by one year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fourteen men's teams and nine women's teams took part. The 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the eleventh edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 24 March to 7 April 2015, it was contested by 37 Ranji Trophy teams, including the nine expansion teams who were introduced that season. Delhi were the defending champions. Saurasish Sukanta Lahiri (born 9 September 1981) is an Indian former first-class cricketer who played for Bengal. He has played a 100 FC, 76 List A and 22 T20 matches for Bengal and was the captain of the team for 4 matches. He was also one of the first 5 players picked up before the 2008 IPL auction by the Kolkata Knight Riders. His most famous achievement was taking the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar twice in the same match during the 2006-07 Ranji trophy final and also during the 2006-07 NKP Salve Challenger trophy match between India Blue and India Green. Ranadeb Ranjit Bose () (born 27 February 1979, Kolkata, India) is an Indian former first-class cricketer who played for Bengal. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he took 8 wickets in the Ranji Trophy final of 2006/07 against Mumbai. Bose finished the season with 57 wickets at an average of 14.23. He was the joint highest wicket-taker in the 2004–05 Vijay Hazare Trophy, India's domestic 50 over tournament. He holds the world record of bowling 10,708 balls in first-class and club games without overstepping.
