Aimé Césaire Station
Aimé Césaire () is a metro station, station on Paris Métro Line 12, line 12 of the Paris Métro. The station is located at Place Henri-Rol-Tanguy in Aubervilliers. It is named in honour of the French Martinique, Martinican poet Aimé Césaire. It was the 307th station to open. History Towards the end of the 1990s, when the fourth Contrat de plan État-région (2000-2006) was released, an extension of line 12 was included in the plan to provide metro service to the communes of Saint-Denis and Aubervilliers. Consultations began in 2001 and public inquiries were conducted from 10 June 2003 until 11 July 2003 to determine the construction details and location of the stations, with the Déclaration d'utilité publique, declaration of public utility occurring on 8 June 2004. Mairie D'Aubervilliers (Paris Métro)
Mairie d'Aubervilliers () is a station on Line 12 of the Paris Métro, and is the northern terminus of the line. The station is located near Aubervilliers town hall and opened on 31 May 2022. In the future, it will be served by Line 15 of the Grand Paris Express. History Line 12 Line 12 was extended north to Front Populaire in December 2012. As part of the construction of that extension, tunnelling had continued north beyond Front Populaire, allowing the Pont de Stains (later Aimé Césaire) and Mairie d'Aubervilliers stations to be constructed at a later date. Construction on the station began in autumn 2014, with opening of the station planned for the end of 2017. However, technical difficulties due to sandy soil and a high water table led to substantial delays – with the opening of the station postponed to 2019 and then 2022.. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. The Canal Saint-Denis () is a canal in Paris, France that is in length. The canal connects the Canal de l'Ourcq, at a point north-northwest of the Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, 19th arrondissement, with the suburban municipalities of Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis, Saint-Denis and Aubervilliers in the Department (administrative division), department of Seine-Saint-Denis. Line 4 () is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro rapid transit system and one of its three fully automated lines. Bagneux–Lucie Aubrac Station
Bagneux–Lucie Aubrac () is a Paris Métro station in Bagneux, Hauts-de-Seine. It is the southern terminus of Line 4, and was built as part of a two-station southward extension from Mairie de Montrouge, the previous terminus of the line. The adjacent station is Barbara. The station opened in January 2022. In future, the station will be served by Paris Métro Line 15. History The extension of Line 4 south from Mairie de Montrouge received déclaration d'utilité publique in February 2005. Work to build the extension began in 2015, and was planned to open in 2020. During the planning stages of the extension, the station was tentatively called ''Bagneux.'' Following a public vote, the station was named after Lucie Aubrac, a member of the French Resistance during World War II. The station was opened on 13 January 2022 by Prime Minister Jean Castex.
