Aagot Børseth
Aagot Børseth (29 November 1898 – 19 December 1993) was a Norwegian actress. Biography Aagot Tangen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She made her debut at Rogaland Teater in Stavanger during 1918 as Grete in ''Faddergaven'' by Peter Egge (1869–1959). Later she came to Chat Noir, where she noted herself as the street girl Gusti in ''Flammen''. She came to the Nationaltheatret in 1928 and performed there for 40 years. She made her film debut in ''Felix'' (1921) and participated in numerous Norwegian films including ''Frestelse'' (1940) and ''Selkvinnen'' (1953). She was also a widely used actor on Radioteatret and on television. She was married to Henrik Børseth (1885–1970), who was also an actor at the Nationaltheatret. She died in 1993 and was buried at Vestre gravlund in Oslo. ''Felix'' is a Norwegian silent drama film from 1921. The film is based on the story ''Keiser Felix'' by Gustav Aagaard. It was adapted into a screenplay by Gunnar Nilsen-Vig, who was also the film's cinematographer. Rasmus Breistein directed the film, and it was distributed by Kommunenes Filmcentral. Plot As autumn storms are blowing in over the island of Fagerøy, the priest's wife Else Margrete and her child die in childbirth. During the storm, a ship is also wrecked off the island, and the only survivor is a three-month-old boy. The maritime pilot Abraham takes the child to the rectory, and the young priest accepts the boy as a gift from heaven for the child he has lost. Rogaland Teater is a theatre in Stavanger, Norway. Background The theatre building was built in 1883 on a parcel of '' Kannik prestegård''. It was designed by architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff, and initially held close to 500 seats. The building housed ''Stavanger Faste Scene'' from 1914 to 1921, and Stavanger Teater from 1921 to 1926. Several changes have been made to the building over the years, including enlargements and modifications in 1951, 1974, 1980, and 2001. Rogaland Teater opened on 9 September 1947. A working committee had been established in 1946, and after subscription for shares and financial support from Rogaland county administration and several of the municipalities in Rogaland, the theatre was established on 6 June 1947. ''Sønner av Norge'' (Sons of Norway) is a Norway, Norwegian comedy film from 1961 directed by Øyvind Vennerød. The script was written by Jørn Ording and Vennerød. Among others, Inger Marie Andersen, Odd Borg, Turid Balke, Arne Bang-Hansen, and Willie Hoel appear in the roles of the residents of Solbråten.
