AIB Ladies Irish Open
The Women's Irish Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET), held in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The tournament became part of the LET schedule in 1994 and ran for ten editions through 2003. After a four-year hiatus, the tournament was revived again in 2008 Ladies European Tour, 2008 as part of the buildup to the 2011 Solheim Cup, 2011 Solheim Cup, scheduled for late September at Killeen Castle, Dunsany, Killeen Castle in County Meath. Killeen Castle hosted the Ladies Irish Open in early August, the week following the Women's British Open. Last played in 2012, the tournament returned in 2022, now held at Dromoland Castle in County Clare. At St. Margaret's in 1995, Laura Davies recorded a 72-hole total of 267 (−25), 16 strokes clear of runner-up Åsa Gottmo, setting world records for the lowest aggregate score and the biggest margin of victory in women's professional golf. Sophie Gustafson (born 27 December 1973) is a List of Swedish professional golfers, Swedish professional golfer. She was a member of the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and is a life member of the Ladies European Tour (LET). Nicole Broch Estrup () (born 14 May 1993) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour (LET). Broch Estrup started playing golf at the age of nine. She reached 11th on World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2012 before turning professional. Klára Davidson Spilková (born 15 December 1994) is a Czech professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won the 2017 Lalla Meryem Cup and the 2022 Women's Irish Open. Early life and amateur career Spilková had a successful amateur career after she was introduced to golf by her older brother Lukas at the age of four. She won the European Young Masters in 2009, and won both the Czech Women's Amateur and the German Girls Open back to back in 2009 and 2010. In 2010 she won the Austrian Women's Amateur. Lisa Pettersson (born 31 July 1995) is a Swedish professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2023 Helsingborg Open. In 2022, she was runner-up at Skaftö Open and Åland 100 Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Pettersson was born in Täby, Stockholm County, in 1995. She grew up practising a lot of different sports and it was not until the age of 15 that she started to focus solely on golf. In 2013, she finished tied third at the Annika Invitational Europe, behind Malene Krølbøll Hansen and Celia Barquin Arozamena. Smilla Tarning Sønderby (born 22 July 2000) is a Danish professional golfer. She plays on the Ladies European Tour and won the 2023 KPMG Women's Irish Open. In 2021, she won the NCAA Championship with Ole Miss. Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (born 5 July 2000) is a French professional golfer. She was number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 34 weeks in 2020. Carton House
Carton House is a country house and surrounding demesne that was the ancestral seat of the Earls of Kildare and Dukes of Leinster for over 700 years.
