2019 Moto3 World Championship
The 2019 FIM Moto3 World Championship was a part of the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. This class and Moto2 adopted the qualifying format used by MotoGP for the season, in which the riders that placed 15th or lower on combined times in the third free practice session would be admitted to qualifying 1, then the four fastest riders from that session would join the fastest 14 riders in qualifying 2. Teams and riders All the bikes used series-specified Dunlop tyres. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. is a Japanese Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing in Moto3 for Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max. John McPhee (born 14 July 1994) is a Scottish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for in the World Supersport Championship for Vince64 by Puccetti Racing. Previously he raced in the 2022 Moto3 World Championship for Max Biaggi's Sterilgarda Husqvarna team. The Sepang Racing Team (formerly known as SIC Racing Team) was a Malaysian Grand Prix motorcycle racing team which operated until the end of 2021, and was owned by the Sepang International Circuit. First established in 2015 in the Moto3 class and expanded in 2019, it fielded teams in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 championships. Marcos Ramírez Fernández (born 16 December 1997) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for American Racing in the 2023 Moto2 World Championship. Career Junior career In 2012 he was a competitor of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, and qualified on pole position in his first ever race, the opening round in Jerez, eventually finishing the race in 2nd. Xavier Artigas Lopez (born 27 May 2003) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, riding for CF Moto Prüstel in the Moto3 World Championship. Leopard Racing is a Luxembourg–Italian motorcycle racing team competing in the Moto3 class of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship. The team has won two Moto3 Teams' Championships. History Leopard Racing was founded by Flavio Becca at the end of 2014 with the intention of participating in the Moto3 World Championship the following year.
