Oval Office
The Oval Office is the formal working space of the president of the United States. Part of the Executive Office of the President of the United States, it is in the West Wing of the White House, in Washington, D.C. The oval room has three large windows facing the South Lawn, in front of which the president's desk traditionally stands, and a fireplace at the north end. Two built-in bookcases are recessed in the western wall. There are four doors: the east door opens to the Rose Garden; the west door leads to a private study and dining room; the northwest door opens onto the main corridor of the West Wing; and the northeast door opens to the office of the president's secretary. The room takes inspiration from the bow oval rooms in the main residence of the White House. The west wing oval office was created when the wing was expanded in the early 1900s, a few years after the wing was built. South African Farm Attacks
South African farm attacks () are violent crimes, including assault, murder, rape, and robbery, that take place on farms in South Africa. The attacks target both white and black farmers. The term has no formal legal definition, but such attacks have been the subject of discussion by media and public figures in South Africa and abroad. Claims that such attacks on farmers disproportionately target whites are a key element of the white genocide conspiracy theory promoted by, among others, Donald Trump, and have become a common talking point among white nationalists worldwide. Statistics provided from the South African Government show that farm attacks tend to take more black victims than white victims and show that farm attacks are relatively rare. The government of South Africa and other analysts maintain that farm attacks form part of a broader crime problem in South Africa and do not have a racial motivation. Terminology and definition South African statutory law does not def ...

Land Reform In South Africa
Land reform in South Africa refers to efforts by the government to address historical injustices related to land ownership, particularly through land restitution, redistribution, and tenure reform. One key objective is to empower farm workers—providing them with opportunities to become landowners—and to reduce economic inequality. The policy also involves restitution for individuals and communities who were forcibly removed from urban areas designated for white inhabitants under apartheid laws such as the Group Areas Act. Notable affected areas include Sophiatown, Fietas, Cato Manor, District Six, and Greyville. Additionally, land reform aims to support broader economic participation by enabling previously unemployed people to engage in productive land use and entrepreneurship. Despite these goals, the land reform program has faced significant criticism. Many South Africans and international observers have pointed to poor implementation and inefficiencies, with estimates ...
