2025 Pan Am Badminton Championships
The 2025 Pan Am Badminton Championships was a continental badminton championships in the Americas sanctioned by Badminton Pan America, and the Badminton World Federation. The mixed team and individual events were held from 13 to 16 February and 9 to 12 April respectively. Tournament The 2025 Pan Am Badminton Championships Team Event, officially the 2025 Pan American Cup, was a continental badminton team championship tournament to crown the best mixed team in Pan America that would qualify for the 2025 Sudirman Cup. This event was organized by the Badminton Pan Am and the Federacion Mexicana de Badminton. Nine teams participated in the tournament. The individual event of the Pan Am Badminton Championships was an individual continental badminton championship tournament to crown the best male and female players and pairs in Pan America. Badminton Pan Am
The Badminton Pan Am (BPA) organisation is the governing body for the sport of badminton in the Americas and is recognized as such by the Badminton World Federation - BWF. It was founded as a continental governing body on February 13, 1976 in the headquarters of the Mexican Olympic Committee in Mexico City. The Pan American Badminton Confederation was founded by Badminton Canada, the Jamaica Badminton Association, Federacion Mexicana de Badminton, Comision Nacional de Badminton Peru and the United States Badminton Association. BPAC was founded in Mexico City in 1976 and had nominated Victor Jaramillo of Mexico as President until an official election was scheduled to take place at the first Pan Am Championships the following year. Michelle Li
Michelle Li (born November 3, 1991) is a Canadian badminton player. Li is the 2014 Commonwealth Games champion and the first Canadian to win an individual gold medal in women's singles badminton at the Commonwealth Games. Brian Yang (born 25 November 2001) is a Canadian badminton player. Nyl Yakura
Nyl Kiyoshi Yakura (born 14 February 1993) is a Canadian badminton player. He captured two gold medals at the Pan American Games, winning the men's doubles title in 2019 and 2023, and also a silver in the mixed doubles in 2019. Yakura, who grew up in Pickering, Ontario, currently lives in Toronto and trains at the KC Badminton Club in Markham. He has Japanese and Indonesian heritage.
