2025 Milan–San Remo
The 2025 Milan–San Remo was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 22 March in north-western Italy. It was the 116th edition of the Milan–San Remo cycling classic. Dutch rider Mathieu van der Poel ( Alpecin–Deceuninck) won the race for the second time, beating Italian Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) and Slovenian world champion Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates XRG) in a sprint finish. The trio escaped the peloton on the Cipressa, when van de Poel and Ganna were the only two riders who were able to stay with Pogačar when he attacked. On the Cipressa, the trio broke the climbing record by 20 seconds, previously set by Gabriele Colombo and Alexander Gontchenkov at the 1996 Milan–San Remo. Prior to the race, a women's edition of the race was held for the first time since 2005. 2025 UCI World Tour
The 2025 UCI World Tour is a series of races that includes thirty-six events throughout the 2025 in men's road cycling, 2025 cycling season. The tour started with the 2025 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 21 January, and will conclude with the 2025 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 19 October. Events The race calendar for the 2025 season was announced in June 2024, with thirty-six races scheduled. The calendar was similar to 2024 UCI World Tour, 2024, with a new one-day race in Denmark, the Copenhagen Sprint. In October 2024, the final calendar was confirmed. Teams The eighteen UCI WorldTeam, WorldTeams were automatically invited to compete in events, with the top two UCI ProTeams listed on the 2024 UCI World Ranking ( and ) also invited automatically. Jhonatan Manuel Narváez Prado (born 4 March 1997) is an Ecuadorian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Early career Originally from El Playón de San Francisco, situated at an altitude of 2,990 meters, in Ecuador's Sucumbíos Canton, whilst at school Narváez was a member of a cycling club founded by one of his teachers, former Olympic racing cyclist Juan Carlos Rosero. The club has also produced a number of other professional riders, including Richard Carapaz and Jonathan Caicedo. Narváez became a multiple-time Pan American Junior champion in 2015. Tim Wellens (born 10 May 1991) is a Belgium, Belgian professional road bicycle racing, road cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam .
