2025 Kakkonen
The 2025 Kakkonen is the 53rd season of Kakkonen, the fourth-highest football league in Finland. The season began on 12 April and ended in October 2025. It's the second season of the Kakkonen serving as the fourth-tier football league in Finland. Teams The league consisted of thirty teams, split into three equal groups (A, B, and C). Group A Group B Group C League tables Group A Group B Group C Promotion Group The top six teams in each group qualify for the Promotion Group and play each team in their group for the third time. The top two teams in each group and the top two third-placed teams advance to the Kakkonen play-offs. Relegation Group The bottom four teams in each group qualify for the Relegation Group and play each team in their group for the third time. Kakkonen
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. Until the end of 2023, ''Kakkonen'' was the third-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, Kakkonen also dropped down one level in the league pyramid. The new fourth-tier Kakkonen is divided to three groups, each consisting of 10 teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen ( Finnish for 'Number Two'; ). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. Petter Meyer finished the 2015 as the top goal scorer for GrIFK with 23 goals. Reipas Lahti
Reipas Lahti is a sports club based in Lahti, Finland. It is involved in various of ball games and also other sports. The club emerged in the late 1940s, when the inhabitants of Viipuri had mostly been relocated in Lahti, after evacuation during World War II. As a consequence, the activities of Viipurin Reipas, which had been founded in 1891, were continued in the new home town of the evacuees. The name of the club was still Reipas Viipuri until 1962, when the ball game section became simply Reipas. Reipas has played in top-flight football, ice hockey and bandy, with particular success in football. In bandy, Reipas last appeared in top flight in 1967, but then discontinued its involvement in this sport the following year. Musan Salama
Musan Salama (), commonly abbreviated MuSa, is a Association football, football club based in Pori, Finland, playing in the Finnish fifth tier Kolmonen as of the 2024 season. It was founded in 1960 in the Musa (Pori), Musa suburb of Pori as a football and ice hockey club. The ice hockey section was continued by the Porin Kiekko-Salamat after 1972. MuSa is a member of the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation. The club is nicknamed ''Valkoiset Tiikerit'' (White Tigers in English). History MuSa women's football team played in the premier division Kansallinen Liiga, SM-sarja from 1981 to 1985. The women's futsal team are two time Finnish Champions. Kronohagens Idrottsförening (abbreviated KIF or Kiffen) () is a sports club from Helsinki, Finland. The club was founded on 27 September 1908, and has been mainly known for the achievements of its association football and handball teams. In the past the club also played at the top level in ice hockey and has won the ''Kalevan malja'' (Kaleva Cup) in Sport of athletics, athletics. Tampereen Ilves (; Finnish for "Lynx"; ), commonly known as Ilves, is a Finnish professional football club based in Tampere. They currently play in the Veikkausliiga, the highest level of professional football in Finland. History The history of Ilves football is long and somewhat convoluted. Helsingin Palloseura (HPS) () is a sports club from Helsinki, Finland established in 1917. HPS has been active in several sports including bandy, ice hockey, football, handball and basketball. Historically, HPS men's team is one of the most successful football teams in Finland, winning nine national championships during the 1920s and 1930s. The team is currently playing in the fourth highest league, however. In bandy, the club was the runner-up for the Finnish championship in 1920. Famous HPS footballers have included William Kanerva, Aulis Koponen, Max Viinioksa, Kai Pahlman, Jyrki Heliskoski and Pertti Alaja. Atlantis FC
Atlantis FC is a Finnish football club, based in Helsinki. It currently plays in the third tier of Finnish football (''Ykkönen''). History The club was founded in late 1995 when Johanneksen Dynamo (founded 1980) and FC Norssi (founded 1985) merged. The name "Atlantis FC" was created by Gösta Sundqvist, singer of Leevi and the Leavings. The team began to play in the third tier of Finnish football (the ''Kakkonen'') in 1996 and in 1997 they were promoted to the Ykkönen. In 1999 the club reached the playoffs for promotion to the first tier (Veikkausliiga, or betting league in English, named for its sponsor) but lost to Vaasan Palloseura.
