2024–25 Ottawa Charge Season
The 2024–25 Ottawa Charge season was the team's second season as a member of the Professional Women's Hockey League. They play their home games at TD Place Arena in Ottawa. The Charge advanced to the 2025 PWHL playoffs for the first time in franchise history. They defeated the Montreal Victoire in the semifinals before losing to the Minnesota Frost in the 2025 PWHL Finals. Minnesota Frost
The Minnesota Frost are a professional ice hockey team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, that competes in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They are one of the six charter franchises of the league. The team plays its home games at Xcel Energy Center. In 2024, the Frost won the PWHL's inaugural Walter Cup championship. They are the current Walter Cup champions, having won championships in 2024 and 2025. Xcel Energy Center
Xcel Energy Center is a multipurpose arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Completed in 2000 and often called "The X" by fans, it is named for its locally based corporate sponsor Xcel Energy. With an official capacity of 17,954, the arena has four spectator levels: one suite level and three for general seating. 2024–25 Minnesota Frost Season
The 2024–25 Minnesota Frost season was the team's second season as a member of the Professional Women's Hockey League. They played their home games at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Frost defeated the Toronto Sceptres in the semifinals of the 2025 PWHL playoffs to advance to the 2025 PWHL Finals. During the Finals they defeated the Ottawa Charge to win their second consecutive Walter Cup. Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell (formerly Tsongas Arena) is a multi-purpose facility owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell and located in Lowell, Massachusetts. The arena was opened on January 27, 1998, and dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Tsongas, prominent Lowell native and U.S. senator. Place Bell is a multi-purpose arena in Laval, Quebec, Canada. The complex includes a 10,062-seat main arena, which is the home of the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL), and two smaller community ice rinks, one of which has Olympic-size ice. Emerance Maschmeyer
Emerance Maschmeyer-Lacasse (born October 5, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for PWHL Vancouver of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the Ottawa Charge of the PWHL. She is also a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team, with whom she won the gold medal at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship and the 2022 Winter Olympics. She first made her debut with Team Canada at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Playing career Maschmeyer was the second female goaltender to compete in the Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament in Edmonton. A meeting was set up at the tournament for her to meet Shannon Szabados, and since then, the two have stayed in contact. Verdun Auditorium (Canadian French, French: ''Auditorium de Verdun'') is an arena located in the borough of Verdun, Quebec, Verdun, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The building opened on November 28, 1939 and holds 4,114 seats.
